Welcome to Iowa and Missouri! For this hunt you will be staying in our bunk house located in Decatur, Iowa. The bunk house is located in the center of all our farms. We did this so we would not have a long drive in the morning or after a long day of hunting. The last thing we want is for you to spend too much time in a truck. All our farms will be within a thirty mile drive. Here in the bunk house we have all the amenities of home including wireless internet and cable tv. On this hunt we want you to just relax and enjoy your experience. Our hunts typically start Monday morning. We like the hunters to arrive in camp early Sunday afternoon, whether you drive in or we pick you up at the airport. This gives you time to get unpacked and make sure your weapon of choice is still sighted in. Sunday evening we will sit down go over a few guidelines and plan your hunt for Monday morning. Each night after a great home cooked meal, we will look at the weather and set a game plan for the next days hunt. Remember you will be my eyes in the field and it is important that each night we sit down and go over the days events. This will help me keep you on that buck. No matter how many cameras we run or hours we spend glassing fields, we need to know what you are seeing in the timber. Over the past eight years we have averaged an 85% opportunity rate for 130 class deer or better. It seems no matter how hard we try each year, mother nature likes to throw us a curve ball and give us a few difficult days to hunt. But no matter what she throws at us we still try to keep you on the deer. Throughout the eight years we have averaged a 70% harvest rate. I can put you in areas that giant whitetail's roam and get you within shooting distance. Bottom line is you have to make that shot count!
